What’s your day job?

I’m currently the president and co-founder of Otto Design + Marketing and have worked in the advertising industry for the past 30 years. My career began in New York City at McCaffrey & McCall Advertising, where I managed leading international brands including Falcon Jet, Mercedes Benz and Norelco.

In addition, I have managed several tourism and hospitality accounts including Virginia Tourism, Virginia Beach Tourism, U.S. Virgin Islands, Top of the World Trade Center in New York, and Omni International Hotels.

Over the past eighteen years at Otto, my team and I have developed breakaway brand campaigns for clients of all shapes and sizes including Aflac, Huntington Ingalls, Virginia Beach Economic Development, Kaufman and Canoles, Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center, and Eastern Virginia Medical School. On Virginia’s Eastern Shore, we have worked with Bay Creek, Cape Charles Yacht Center, the Eastern Shore of Virginia Tourism Commission, the Town of Cape Charles, and Local Scoop (thanks Sara).

Tell us about your super-hero talent:

I have the uncanny ability to know what people are thinking, sometimes before they even realize they are thinking it. In addition, I prepare an award-winning lasagna frutti di mare.

Where do you enjoy traveling, and what do you enjoy doing when away from home?

Travel has always been a passion of mine both professionally and personally. My favorite places to visit include London, The Cotswolds and Capri.

I am passionate about food, gardening, design in general and automobiles.
