An American restaurant, the quirkily named Rancho Relaxo has both classic and unique options all made with a mindset focusing on creating good, clean food with local ingredients. Focused on serving locals, they are open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. Lunch food is more deli-like, dinner bistro-esque.
Not only is the food delicious, but the informal, casual atmosphere of Rancho Relaxo makes it worth the trip. From the benches outside that the owner built himself using tailgates as the bench-backs, to the dog artwork on the walls of the 1890’s building, Rancho Relaxo makes sure their guests feel at home.
"Making Exmore Great Again, One Plate at a Time", Rancho Relaxo declares as its tagline. Owner and chef Andrew Siff was educated at the Culinary Institute of America. Siff established Rancho Relaxo after moving to the Shore because his wife is a native. Never one to take life too seriously, a glance at the menu will reveal his wicked sense of humor.
Their clams are always first rate, the pasta decadent, the cheesesteaks fantastic, but Andrew's wife makes all the desserts which risk upstaging lunch or dinner. Always save room for dessert! Photography courtesy Mark Atkinson.
