An hour spent strolling through Blue Crow Antique Mall will transport the wanderer through the centuries, from the traces of first local settlers (arrow-heads and pipes) to waterfowl decoys, vintage ornaments, and other trappings of modern times. Blue Crow’s eclectic mix will appeal to the amateur historian in everyone, with hidden treasures around each corner of the 35,000 square foot shop.
The best advice for visiting Blue Crow? “Make sure you eat before coming,” one patron says, to have stamina for what could be a full day of shopping—and a walk down memory lane. “Finding that perfect memento requires patience and a keen eye, not a growling tummy!”
With over 200 dealers sharing one roof, Blue Crow’s collections include housewares, tools, jewelry, toys, and local specialties such as oyster cans, plus a very popular Christmas shop. Well-mannered pets are invited to shop with their owners.
Ellie Cackowski’s husband Len, nearing retirement from the U.S. Navy, proposed that they move to the Eastern Shore, where she, a history teacher and antique afficionado, might open “a little antique shop.” After an epic coast to coast RV research trip, they opened Blue Crow in 2002.
