In 2002, Moonrise Jewelry founder and designer Meredith Lusk turned her jewelry-making hobby into a business, hoping that it would create new opportunities for women in her rural local community. After years of hard work by her team, Moonrise jewelry is now offered for sale at fine stores around the world and at her retail showroom in Cape Charles.
Against all odds, Meredith won a Leg Up™ endorsement in 2012 by Spanx ® Founder Sara Blakely as part of her mission to empower women entrepreneurs.
Each piece is still handmade in the coastal Virginia studio using innovative, eco-friendly materials like fish leather sourced from a village in Iceland and real orchid blossoms.
Moonrise Jewelry’s signature style has evolved into a colorful brand of wearable art inspired by Meredith’s love of the world's most beautiful coasts, including the one she calls home.
